I am starting to get interested in making a pretty bra/panty set with pretty lace. I have never sewn lingerie before. Is there an online source that sells a "kit" for a beginner to lingerie sewing that would have most everything I need?

Bra Maker's Supply, elingeria, and fabric depot all sell kits. I've just finished using a basic Bra Maker's bra supply kit--not fancy just functional, but they do have nicer sets. My recommendation is to get a large range of underwires if you aren't 100% sure of your size.

Merckwaerdigh also sells kits. Her's are my favorites from what I've seen--but she's located in the Netherlands.

There's a place in Alabama called Logan's Kits that specializes in lingerie fabrics/finding. It's run by a retired couple and it's mail order, buy they take customers by appt.

My grandmother taught me to sew when I was 10, and I've been sewing ever since.

The Etsy shop Hooks & Wires sells a variety of custom dyed color kits at a reasonable price. I find them especially nice when you're just beginning to learn and test your pattern. Wires are even included in the kit.
