Date: 2/7/13 10:12 AM WAtched the Peggy Sagers webcast last week and she had made her sweater set pattern in a border print knit which was really pretty. I have no clue where to find a fabric similar?
I can try to capture a screen shot when I watch the replay of the webcast. The fabric seemed to be a white or light color that had a pretty black border at the lower edge. She matched the shell to the sweater top. Very pretty.
I have looked around here for something like that since she said that particular fabric was not available thru her.
What I would really like to find, which is similar, is a stretch or sweater knit that is light colored on the top - gradually darkening to a darker color at the bottom. A gradient print.
I had seen a girl several months ago that had a sweater like that. it was a soft cream at the top and gradually darkened to an almost dark fawn brown at the bottom. I'd love to find something like that but I have NO idea where to look. Google searches haven't found anything at this point

Date: 2/7/13 1:57 PM Sometimes those gradient prints are called ombre prints -- you might want to try a search using that.

Date: 2/7/13 10:52 PM Both Fabric Mart and Gorgeous Fabrics currently have some border print knits. You can find them by searching the sites for ''border'' alone, since the descriptions don't always use the phrase ''border print''. Of course, you'll get more than what you're looking for, but you won't miss anything at it won't take too long to look through them. |
