I got my spring Burda Plus and I have to say I am delighted. This is the Burda Plus I knew and loved.

These are new patterns, with a few of the regular patterns from the last six months sized up. I can see several patterns I want to make.

I am glad I kept my subscription. this is an outstanding issue. What does everyone else think?

I was really impressed too. A nice range of styles and shapes. (And only a couple of sack shaped tops that use the drape of the fabric to suggest that they fit. ) As usual the ones I like the most are the least suitable for my lifestyle.

Especially 421

and 406B

I would however wear this jacket (414) to death

and these trousers (418)are a great shape

The sleeves/flaps on 432 are a bit weird which is a pity because the body of the dress is really interesting.

I think this issue will be the first I've bought since 2010.

I love this issue! The patterned dress posted above with the jacket? That seems to be a variation on the ruched dress I made in December and I LOVED how that looked. I might need to do this new sleeveless dress. Or create butterfly sleeves to go on it, which is what I was planning on doing with the original ruched dress.

This dress is adorable and actually fits my lifestyle.

This top is totally sexy and does not fit my lifestyle, but I might need to make it anyhow.

And I have finally decided to quit waiting until my sewing is "good enough" to sew up some of my silk fabric. This might be the dress I use for my first silk project. I'd shorten it, though. (And my goodness, I love how often Burda dresses have pockets!)

My husband did ask me if the models were "all communists," which cracked me up. I said it was a German magazine and he said, "East German?"

These look great. Thank you for posting. Maybe I should subscribe - Burda arrives in my shop here in New Zealand by sea which means the November issue is New In Store this week.

"My husband did ask me if the models were "all communists," "
Love this, but what communist features am I missing?

I don't know! He says, "They look like old-school, hardcore Russians from the 1950s. Have you seen the Russian soldiers in North Korea during the Korean war? That is what they remind me of."

I have NO idea where he's getting that from, but it cracked me up.

I suspect it might be that the models are all "larger"...well fed, and strong looking!(not like the stick models in all the other sizes!

That could be part of it.

I think it might be, in part, this picture:
