Any sewers in the greater Seattle area? South east in Renton. Been a sewer for a lot of years and may finally get into quilting. I still use my machines for embroidery, home decor and garment contruction. Afraid I may forget how if I do not keep up w/all of it. Used to do craft fairs but my grandkids keep me busy now.

Sewing and Stichery Expo, Puyallup, WA, February 28, March 1, 2, & 3, 2013

I'm about 800 miles south of you on the West Coast (San Francisco Bay Area), so I'm not much help. However, you are within very easy driving distance of the Sewing Expo. Perhaps you can meet up with some PR members there?

Emma, Our ASG meeting is tomorrow morning at 10:30 in Kent at Running Stitch. We are focusing on pants. You would be welcome to join us. You can visit 2 times without joining and then you have to join. ASG is American Sewing Guild. This would give you a chance to meet some others that are interested insewing. This is our "fitting group".

I had heard about the Puyallup Expo-Wa for a few years now even before I moved out here. I am not very familiar as yet driving these parts but if I could find someone to go with I sure will try.

Hi there...Welcome neighbor!! I live in Kent and go to the Expo..I don't drive and usually take the train in..there is a walk or a wait for the bus on the other end, but a fun trip overall!
I'll send you a PM...

That's great to know!! The last time I called the ASG, I was told that the only meetings are at JoAnn's by Southcenter...Do you always meet at Running Stitches?? That's walking distance from my home..I can't today, as I work tonite...but I'm planning on retiring in 2 weeks, so I will finally get to do some stuff and be awake for it!!
