...it is SOOOO CUTE!!!

FR blogger My Little Love made 02-2013-112 and I love it:

I am still worried about the front skirt overlap and the overall length of the skirt but how cute is that???

ETA I wrote a comment on her post asking if she is Petite or not, and her feeling on the skirt length because, from what she writes, she may not be an actual Petite. That might make the skirt seem shorter.

Also, she sounds unfamiliar with Burdastyle because she did not know this was a Petite pattern. Stay tuned...

She replied to my question and she is 1m64 so about 1in3/4 in between Petite and Regular sizes. And the skirt is a bit peekaboo going up stairs, possibly due to the curve on the skirt front overlap/wrap.

I love it too! Very cute, but I also wonder about that front overlap.

I added it to my BurdaStyle shopping cart for the download. I think it's a really cute pattern, and I have these 2 pieces of rayon challis I'm not sure what to do with...

And since I am a petite, I guess we'll see how it goes. Hmmmm. Guess it's crawl-around-on-the-living-room-floor-armed-with-scotch-tape time again.

I'm still not sure which is worse: tracing the Burda patterns from the magazine, or taping the printed downloads together.

Tracing is worse! I've given up on Burda magazine patterns because I hate the tracing through the spaghetti lines so much. YMMV of course!

Très mignonne, la robe.

I noticed the hem flipping up along the curve. Is that just the picture or the small bias curve not wanting to fall straight?

I saw that too! Je ne sais pas trop pourquoi il fait ça. I suspect it is in part because she underlined the entire dress to compensate the sheerness of the fashion fabric. Maybe she didn't reduce the SAs at the hem? Bad tension? Not ironed?

I have a cotton voile in mind for this myself and I am leaning towards making a slip.

My frustration is that she is one of two members (as of writing this) on the Burda Addicts blog to have made the dress and the skirt, respectively but BOTH are taller than Petite. Makes both garment seem REALLY SHORT.
