Date: 2/12/13 11:08 AM I bought this small sewing machine and the thrift store yesterday. I thought I threaded it right. But when I try to sew with it, the needle goes up and down but doesnt sew. Help! |

Date: 2/12/13 11:29 AM This may be due to the needle not being installed correctly.
The upper area of the needle has one side that is flat. This faces away from the area of the bobbin. For a top or front loading bobbin this would be toward the back of the machine. For an end loading machine, this would be toward the tower (to the right).
The opposite side of the needle has a long groove to guide the top thread to the bobbin.
If this is the machine, then the flat side of the needle faces toward the right.
I would not expect this machine to do any serious sewing. It is more suited for crafts. |

Date: 2/13/13 10:33 AM If the fabric is not feeding, check the stitch length.
Quote: 3. When the button is set to the middle point,
the stich length will become zero,
therefore, the fabric will not move forward.

No, no, no. Rule #1 (according to DH): "When all else fails, then (and ONLY then) do you even consider reading the instructions." ------ Doo-doo-DOO-doo, Doo-doo-DOO-doo......

Date: 2/14/13 9:00 PM What manual. It doesn't feed. Needle goes up and down. I have another machine Kenmore that does the same even even when I change length. |

In PattiAnnJ's post she said "If this is the machine...". If you click on the word "this", it's a link to the manual for the White sew ez.
Are the feed dogs moving when the needle goes up and down?------ Doo-doo-DOO-doo, Doo-doo-DOO-doo......
