Texture Hoop???? specialty hoop?

The Viking website says to stitch them in the texture hoop. My Embroideries has another set called Texture Hoop Ribbons and Flowers. I see that this set is available in the PES format, haven't found the other set there yet though, I have a little trouble navigating their website, in any case what on earth is a "texture hoop " and do I need one to make these designs? They all seem to be 6x6 designs and while I don't have a 6x6 hoop I do have a larger rectangle shaped hoop.

I wanted one right away until I saw the price $149.00!!As the dealer explained, it comes with specialty clips that hold the ribbons and yarns in exactly the correct angle and placement while the design is stitched out. It also came with I think 16 embroidery designs. I am sure a regular hoop and clips could work though with some tweakage.

I have to google this. eta bummer I don't think so, I'm going to study it a bit more. I'm still wondering if the designs will work in other hoops, the page on My Embroideries doesn't really say if it's needed. -- Edited on 2/14/13 8:29 PM --

There are clips that hold ribbons, lace, etc in place and the design is embroidered over top. ------ I heart Panzy, Pfaff Creative Performance, the sewing machine love of my life! And Rupert (Pfaff 2023), Baby (BL Enlighten), Victor (BLCS), Ash (Bernina 350SE), Pal (Bernina 530), Kee (Bernina 750) and the Featherteen Flock! Most of all, I heart Woo (HimmyCat).
