Having troubles with simplicity pattern Formal dress simplicity pattern #1874 by Jessica McClintock. Sewing the back of dress problem

The illustrations don't make sense with what the pattern says to do so I need help ASAP since I need this dress done by Monday. If anyone can help me with this then much appreciated!
