Date: 2/19/13 9:57 AM I am slowly but surely working on Vogue 8379 wrap dress. I read countless reviews suggesting that we omit the neckline facing. But what should I do instead? Turn 5/8" and simply sew down. I don't know what binding means, as some reviewers suggested. Twin needle? I've never used it and will have to figure it out, but I'm willing, this is my muslin run.
Thanks! |

Date: 2/19/13 10:05 AM You can do a few different things:
Use a knit binding (same fabric or different). See: http://www.ikatbag.com/2011/08/racerback-summer-dress-part-2-binding.html
Self line.
You can also turn under the seam allowance, but that depends on how much you want things to "look pretty" on the inside.
If it's your muslin run, I'd just check for fit and then move onto your real fabric. -- Edited on 2/19/13 10:05 AM -- |
