Date: 2/19/13 9:30 PM I sew tennis skirts using my serger and the Janome 900cpx coverstitch machine. I would really like to get an elastic foot so I can attach the elastic waistband to the skirt. Right now I am making the waistband like a casing but I really would like to sew the elastic onto the waistband if you know what I'm trying to say. My question: what kind of foot should I buy? The elastic is about 1 and a quarter inches.
Thank you. |

Date: 2/20/13 0:43 AM Perhaps you can find th answer to your question on the Yahoo Users group for this machine. I belon to one for the 1000CP & 1000CPX which are the 3-needle versions of your machine. There has been discussion very recently about the different elastic feet that are available from Janome. I haven't payed very close attention since I don't use my machine for that purpose, but if you join the group, you could review some of the most recent posts and possibly find an answer to your questions. Sorry I can't be more helpful than that. ------ Judy |

Date: 2/20/13 2:55 PM For information about a specific Janome foot I would go to the Janome website. They have all the sewing and serger feet that they offer on the site with info, photos and sometimes an instructional video. |

Date: 2/20/13 3:13 PM Janome has a top and bottom elastic foot for the Cover Pro's. The concept is you fold the fabric apr 3/8" and sew the elastic with the cover stitch either under the fabric or on top of the fabric. However, the attachement feet are for very narrow elastic. ------ Janome10001, Babylock ESG3, Brother ULT 2001, White 634D serger, Pfaff 1472, Singer featherweight, Singer 14T957Dc, Bernina FunLock 009DCC coverlock, Brother PQ1500S, Janome CP900. |

Date: 2/20/13 3:34 PM Here is a link to the Coverpro 1000 group:
Janome Coverpro 1000 Yahoo Group
You can find answers to your questions whether you have a CP 900 or a CP 1000. There is also a very large thread for these machines right here on PR. Do a search for:
Janome Coverpro CoverStitch Machines CP900 & CP1000
This thread is quite lengthly so be prepared to do a lot of reading. However, it is full of good information about your machine so give it a try.
