bernina 930 without knee lift is this needed

Now that everyone including my husband has things to repair or sew.... I have to bring a secondary machine into the house.... I thinks its wise to have a back up or two..... I know of a Bernina 930 for sale....It has it maintence receipts and everything... but no knee lift..... I have looked online with no success so far of finding one.... Is this part really required

The presser foot lifter lever is still there,in the back. But the knee lift is still very useful, and should you spot a 930 compatible knee lift later on, buy it. -- Edited on 2/20/13 4:36 PM --
