Date: 2/23/13 9:13 AM Thanks for that link. It has nice close-up shots, but I wish they would have shown us how to stitch the binding around that corner. Also, they totally ignored the inch-long stretch of binding that did not get stitched down a few inches back from their finishing off technique. It was nice to see the finishing off technique demonstrated. Again, very good close-ups of the binder and work. |

Date: 2/24/13 6:48 PM I wish it did a larger binding. I don't see most of my quilts fitting into the foot. ------ Sewing: A creative mess is better than tidy idleness. ~Author Unknown

Date: 2/24/13 9:02 PM Sharon, honestly I'm not sure I'll ever use it for an actual quilt. I'm very traditional when it comes to binding my people quilts. But for placemats and potholders and such I think it will be the bees knees.
That being said I always zigzag the edges before binding the old-fashioned way, so I imagine I will do the same with the binder. Are you using an extra-thick batt? I think any batt I would want to machine quilt would work well in the binder. ------ Tess
