Date: 2/24/13 8:26 AM Just have to gush. The Lion King touring group finally came to Detroit and I have been waiting so long to see the costumes. Not that excited about the Lion King, but the costumes -- oh wow. It would be so nice to have a tour of the costumes. The design creativity is fantastic.
I would love to work in a costume department; just as the person who maintains the costumes. There is not one cell in my body that could design. -- Edited on 2/24/13 8:28 AM -- |

Date: 2/24/13 11:33 AM I took my sister, mom, and grandmother (visiting from China) to see Lion King in New York last fall. The costumes were amazing! My favorite one was the cheetah, the movement of the performer along with the natural way that costume moved was breathtaking. ------ I'm finally a blogger!

(pop 6400) When I worked for a fabric wholesaler, I met one of the women who traveled with the show to maintain the costumes. design studio ------ My grandmother taught me to sew when I was 10, and I've been sewing ever since. |

Date: 2/24/13 8:20 PM I worked with a cosmetics company and earned a free trip to New York for 3 days. Included were tix to Lion King on Broadway.
The opening was so overly-beyond-belief-beautiful to me, that I had tears in my eyes during the first 5 minutes.
The elephant costume was the most amazing... and I don't believe it got used again after the opening! ------ nightowlsally.com
On my radar someday: Babylock Serger, and some machine for travel.
My dearest wish is to have Bernina come out with a machine that doesn't give me a reason to *not* buy it.
