I've written two reviews. Both times, my photo loads and it's rotated 90 degrees. I don't know why! It's not taken sideways and it isn't showing sideways on my camera, on my blog, etc.

I use several photo editing tools. When I use Picasa, the changes I make only show in the Picasa and Picasa Web views. That's because the original photo to be uploaded is not changed.

An easy way to rotate a picture, if you use Windows, is to open Windows Paint (Start, All Programs, Accessories, Paint - the next time you go to open Paint, it will appear above the Start), then open your picture from within Paint. Look in the menu for file rotate. After you rotate the picture, hit Save or Ctrl-S. This changes the "native" picture, and you may need to un-rotate it in other software, such as Picasa.

Hi Mary,

I'm an Apple user. The picture wasn't taken rotated. I know how to rotate pictures when I want them rotated...this photo isn't showing rotated anywhere but here.

It was taken "properly" with the camera.
It uploaded to my blog, Facebook and Flikr correctly.
I even tried rotating and re-uploading and cropping and saving as a new file.

It must be something within the site that doesn't like my camera files or something...I wonder how Mac friendly the site is as well.

Maybe I'll try from my work pc (windows based) and see if that works better...

I figured out a way to fix it. Silly that I have to go through extra steps though when it doesn't rotate ANYWHERE else :/

I'm glad it was fixable, even if it was a wonky method.

Are you taking the photos with an iphone? I've had that problem previously when working on a Microsoft project (all kinds of trouble mixing iphone with Microsoft, lol). I use a Mac too. I'd love to know the fix, too, just in case.

Yes please! I consistently have the same problem. I don't have a PC anymore and either upload with my iPhone or IPad. I can't get my photos to upload correctly. It's very frustrating and I've pretty much stopped doing reviews because of it.

I did just post one now and am having the same issue.

Thanks! If this can be fixed easily it would be wonderful.

yep. Apple user here.

I only add photos here after using PicStitch.

1) I usually want to add several photos and the composite/collages make that possible.

2) I can load a single shot in and then it uploads just fine.

Thanks for the tip! It's an extra step but the photos I uploaded from my iPhone after being altered with PicStitch worked!

Thanks!
