1 member likes this. Date: 3/2/13 3:54 AM Totally its worth the price. Its a very flexible tool that lets you use what is built in in terms of block designs as well as draw your own patchwork, applique and quilting designs. And figures yardage and lets you play with colour. And fiddle with digital images for creative effects.
There are so many features that it takes time for me to learn but I just figure out what I need at the time I want to do something and go from there. Its very easy to learn and its great fun! Support materials are great for the extra books and built in tutorials are asy to learn and understand content from. NAYY...
And oh there is a add on just released that is a plug in to EQ7, it digitizes stuff for you that you create or use from EQ into embroidery formats for stitching on computerised embroidery machines. Very cool...think I might get that.

Date: 3/3/13 0:24 AM I have it, love it! I never sew up a quilt without it now. I don't use it for the patterns, although you certainly can - I use it to audition my fabric selection in the final quilt.
I'm working on a string quilt currently, and used EQ to preview the colors of fabrics I'd selected to get a feel for what the end result would be. Worked like a charm!
I have EQ6. I'm gonna look into the version 7, didn't know it had new options for embroidery - thanks, Bernina Girl! |
