BMV Membership Tip $9.99 vs $15.50

Click on the clubBMV tab and it's $9.99 but click on the link in your Shopping Bag and it's $15.50. How annoying!!! I noticed this at the last minute. When I started shopping, I read about clubBMV and though that if I ordered enough, I'd join. So as I'm checking out I clicked the link in my cart. At the last minute I noticed the difference and deleted the membership, went To the main window, clicked on the tab and joined for the lesser price. Almost feels like an adversarial relationship instead of a club. Then again maybe it was just an itsy oversight on their part.

I went to the Kwik Sew site and ordered an armload of patterns, so many that the membership paid for itself. Fortunately I caught that inflated fee just before I completed. It's $9.99 now which gets you 20% off Vogue, McCalls, Butterick, Kwik Sew patterns (current & OOP), 20% off a subscription to Vogue Patterns magazine, and 20% off on some other things which I don't remember right now. If you got charged more I would just shoot them an email. Their service has been prompt on the rare occasion I've needed it.

Date: 2/27/13 11:09 PM I went back and tried it again and this time the link that said 15% for $15 actually gave me 20% off for $9.99. Thanks for unruffling my feathers Patty, looks like they attempted to fix it. I don't mind a business making money and I don't mind saving a bit, but I HATE feeling tricked. So I feel so much better about spending my $$ with them now (can you feel the love). Can't wait for my goodies to arrive!!!!!

It enabled me to shop patterns again since JoAnns did away with their sale prices on the good patterns. After my savings, the membership cost me 4.21. Kudos to BMV for working when you buy it and not on your next purchase. It's so nice to be able to order patterns and have them delivered to my front door. I know that the pattern I want will be available in the size I need before I drive an hour. I'm expecting a box with some of the new Buttericks in it either today or tomorrow.

I shopped the 3.88 vogue/1.88 Butterick and Mccall sale and bought like 10 patterns. I think it was 78 cents taken off of the Vogue and 38 cents off of the others. Shipping is on the high side, though it is still cheaper than paying the new prices on the Vogues that are not included in the 3.99 Joann sales. ------ http://sweetnotions.blogspot.com/
