Date: 3/2/13 10:39 AM I couldn't figure out where else to ask this. I was looking for Birch Street Clothing patterns to add to my pattern catalog, and could not find any mention of the company when I searched patterns or pattern reviews. I eventually found some reviews by going to Google and searching the company name and patternreview. I am confused about which companies are in the patterns list under the search box, and the apparent absence of entire pattern companies (like Birch Street). Are only the patterns for sale through PatternReview on the list? How do I insert those patterns into my pattern catalog?
PS. I do see that I can choose Birch Street when I enter a pattern into my pattern catalog. But apparently I can't search for those via the search box in the left column on the home page. Is that right? How can I search for those patterns and reviews within PR. Do I have to use google? -- Edited on 3/2/13 10:40 AM -- ------ Rob |

Date: 3/2/13 11:46 AM If you go to Review Gallery, this gives a search filter at the top. The right hand box contains Birch Street here.
Give this a try.
You can buy the patterns on sewingpatterns.com if you can't find them elsewhere. -- Edited on 3/2/13 11:48 AM -- ------ Clare

Date: 3/6/13 9:24 AM Hello RobA.
We add pattern companies for our members here at the office. If you don't see a company listed, it is probably because no one has reviewed it before. There are so many pattern companies out there, we sometimes don't know about all of them until a member alerts us!
In the case of Birch Street Clothing, I was able to find reviews for them using Advanced Search- typing in Birch Street for the pattern company and leaving the other fields blank.
I do see the discrepancy you are pointing out- that the search did not yield anything by using the primary search box, but did through the advanced search. We will continue to try to streamline the data organization on the site so that you all can find what you need a little easier! |
