I have become the new Mom of a blue Mini Ultra. It was languishing in a pawn shop...again in Seattle. This time my DS and DDIL asked if I wanted it and of course I did, and it arrived via USPS today, got unpacked and introduced to the larger members of the family...after some tinkering, tension setting, new needle and etc., she sews. Even though blue, I feel this is a she. Not much used, all accessories (paltry few it came with) are there, and only the manual is missing. Luckily, Sears not only has that but the service manual online for download. The real model number is 385.11206300. I have them downloaded. The main reason I wanted this machine is to sit on the sewing table out of the way of another machine and be my bobbin winder. It winds a great bobbin, and isn't any more than one of those bobbin winders that so often are a real downer. Is anyone still using their Kenmore Mini Ultra these days?

I just bought one of these at Tuesday Morning a few weeks ago! I'm not a huge fan of blue; I may dress it up with some decals or just paint the whole thing. Totally impressed with the mechanics of it, though.

I have a 1950s Elna StarDeluxe, and was happily surprised to find that most of the feet I have for it will work on this machine too! I'm hoping to take a class or two, now that I have a smaller machine.

Congrats on the new sew-baby! She's much prettier than those bobbin winder machines, too...terrific idea!

Ah, how cute! The baby boy version of the baby girl pink one I bought my daughter a few years ago. Sears was discontinuing them, so I grabbed it. She still hasn't gotten the sewing bug yet, but all that may change. I'm babysitting it for her at the moment while she's overseas.
