Hi everyone,

I purchased this top that was really shapeless, but I loved the neckline so much I thought I could make it work. So, I took it in a little at the side seams, and when it still wasn't flattering, added some darts under the bust. But then I got all these pull lines. I thought my darts were just too big, so I took them out and made smaller ones, but I am still getting the lines at the bottom. Are the darts just too long, or is it something else? I wondered if maybe it was due to the stretch of the fabric. Any ideas, suggestion would be greatly appreciated!

Looks like the darts have made ithe top too tight, as well as pulling in more fabric from the outer edge of the dart than from the inner edge. Are they on the straight grain? I'd remove them and start over with smaller, shorter darts that end just below the waist. They also look like they're starting too high on the bust.
