Date: 3/3/13 9:02 AM I am looking for a pattern for a t-shirt style knit top with waist fitting darts and a separate piece for the peplum.
Any suggestions?

Date: 3/3/13 9:51 AM I agree with CSM: several of the PR reviewers made it with ponte knit and they all look fabulous! ------ Indecision may or may not be my problem. -Jimmy Buffet

This is Vogue 8815 made from a lightweight ponte knit. You can't see the darts in the busy print of the fabric. If you didn't want darts, maybe you could rotate them into the side seams? I see that your inspiration top has princess seams, so you could incorporate the darts into the princess seams - I'm sure you could find an on-line tutorial to help. -- Edited on 3/3/13 1:28 PM -- ------ http://sewstashsew.wordpress.com/

Date: 3/3/13 6:29 PM Thanks for asking this question Steffie. I've also been looking for a similar pattern ... a peplum using knits, and all I've come up with are patterns for wovens. This trend is so big that surely the next round of pattern releases will include something suitable. But I agree with the other poster that using a ponte knit and the Vogue pattern should work. |

It's really cute and you could easily make the bottom flare bigger if you wanted. |
