Date: 3/4/13 11:24 AM Any idea where to find one (for free) on line? I've been searching and coming up empty.
The threading instructions on the inside door are different than the manual's. The ones in the door aren't working. I tried ElnaUSA - is there a European site for Elna?
I ALWAYS keep my manual with my two serger books inside the serger case.
So why isn't it there???
Signing off frustrated.
(This is what I get for sewing when I should be doing other things ...) ------ Mary

Date: 3/4/13 11:32 AM I kept searching and another one of my SOS serger threads came up in Google.
In that one CAC responded saying Quote: I also have an old Pro 4 DE. I think the trick is to make sure the lower looper thread is pulled to the back UNDER the upper looper and that is done after the upper looper. (Upper looper First, Lower looper second.)Twizzers work great for this. Let me know if this helps? If not we can try again. :)
I'm going to try it. eta note to self: it worked! I don't know if you're still around, cac but thank you, thank you, thank you.
In the meantime, you may want to make a copy of your instruction manuals!! Ask me how I know. -- Edited on 3/4/13 2:21 PM -- ------ Mary

1 member likes this. Subject: Can't find my instruction manual! update - found it Date: 3/4/13 11:59 AM I feel like an idiot. It was in the kitchen.
As I see these periodic serger drama threads I post, I'm realizing it's time for a new serger.
Soon!! ------ Mary

Date: 3/4/13 4:54 PM MaryMary, I'm so glad you got it working AND found the manual!
What do you think of your Elna Pro 4 DE?
I was given one that belonged to the late mother of a friend. I'm not sure whether to keep it or a 2/3/4 Kenmore serger I have. |
