Does anyone have this problem with there 2140 pfaff. It seems to me the presser foot is to sensitive, after lifting it it will drop right away.

I would bring your machine into your dealer to have this adjusted. I've never had this problem with any Pfaff, and it shouldn't be happening to yours, so sounds like a tech needs to correct that for you.

I once owned a 2144 and it never did that either. Sounds like a spring is either fatigued or slipped out of place.
