Hi!

I just got my first non-adjustable dressform (PGM 602).. It came assembled, but I can't seem to figure out how to use the collapsible shoulders. I've seen other people push the shoulders in, and in & release to pop them out. I don't know why but that doesn't work on this one...

ANyone else with PGM 601/602 that can help me?

I have a PGM...sometimes it is a little stiff at first. Give it a good firm push in...both sides at once. You'll feel it click in.

Thank you!!! But will I break it if I do it too hard? I know I have weak arm strength but I think I pushed them as hard as I could... If I push harder, could I crush the bodice? hmm...

Your form says 'Collapsible' on the bottom front, correct? And you followed all the unpacking instructions?
Here's a silly question - they're not already pushed in, are they?!

PGMs are pretty tough. You should feel it give a little, whether they are already collapsed or not, since you push them in in either case--to collapse or to release.
I doubt you can damage if it is not collapsible, but looking at their site, I can't see that they make women's forms that are not collapsible.

I don't have personal experience with collapsible shoulder dress forms, but I remember seeing this sewer use one on his TV show. He hit both at the same time, firmly, with his palms/wrists.

I've got the 601 which is basically the same model as wannabelle's. You can't really hit them in...you would probably really hurt yourself!

hahaha hmm mine doesn't say collapsible in the front, but the model is 602 and the website says they're collapsible...
And the thing came all assembled by the vendor in the Fashion District in LA. There were no other parts I had to assemble myself.

Still no luck. I wonder what I'm doing wrong!

OK, thanks for the info. Guess there are different types.

I don't think you're doing anything wrong...I'm wondering if you got a non-collapsible one by mistake. Did you get it from PGM or through a 3rd party? Perhaps you could check your order to see if there was a mix-up.

Does anyone else have a collapsible form that does not say 'collapsible' on the lower front?
