Here's the dress I'm thinking of making, view D (sleeveless sheath):

I like the simple design but it's just a little boring, so I wanted to add something. I thought of either a bow at the hip like this one:

or a collar at the neckline sort of like this one:

I'm thinking of going with the collar because I'm somewhat pear-shaped with narrow shoulders and a flat bust, and figured I should draw more attention to the top than the hips if ya know whadda mean.Any advice on this is welcome (i.e. what areas I should focus on to help with my body type), but if the collar sounds like a good idea, then how would I go about constructing one for the dress?

I happen to love the collar in the photo but am open to other types...just please provide a pic and your tips on how to construct it.

P.S. I would buy another pattern, but I'm working under a tight schedule and figured I would just use the one I have, with a little tweaking....
