Tote for a small machine? Looking for a good tote for taking my machine to classes

I'm looking for a tote that I can use to carry my 3 series Bernina (~17lbs) to classes. I have a Bluefig tote (my local Bernina store sells them) that can be carried on the shoulder or in hand. I live in a 3rd floor walk up, so I do NOT want a rolling bag. My ideal bag would have some padding too just to keep the machine safe. I live in Seattle, so I also need some sort of zipper closure to make sure the machine doesn't get wet in transport. It also comes in other colors. Hemline tote My machine is only 10 pounds and there is plenty of room inside. The sides are slighly padded with what feels like foam, but if you tuck your projects in they will also provide some padding. I don't know about the water repellancy...but I walked to my class at the lqs (3 city blocks) and everything was dry when I arrived! It looks the same as the one posted above only in black. No padding though. You'd have to add something for that. I've been looking at bowling ball bags because they seem just the right size for the Kenmore Mini Ultra. (With supply space in the "shoe compartment.) I'm curious whether anybody has ever tried one of those. Meanwhile, in the spirit of buy-something-new-what-are-you-CRAZY?? I am making do with a toolbag I hadn't been using. It's a good size (once I took out one of the dividers). Open at the top, without much padding; but there's room for the latter (and hey, I could use up that grey fleece by putting in two or three layers.....). It's the perfect size for the Kenmore mini. I love tool bags, especially the widemouth ones. Years ago my sister gave me a Bucket Boss ("Gatemouth," I think) and it is still going strong.
