So I don't know why, but my husband cannot spell at all. At. All. He got an iphone 4 for work, and they text alot. He had an android phone where it did correct his spelling. Any idea if there is a setting in the iphone4 for this?
I looked for an app, but they all seem to be apps to teach kids to spell. I was hoping for one that would run in the background.

Try...

Settings
General
Keyboard
Auto correct- there should be an on/off toggle

I'm not promising anything, but I think that should work.

Watch out for autocorrect! And Siri! My mom uses Siri, and it calls my older son Pelala and my younger son The Scene. While those aren't even close, "The Scene" is oddly appropriate, lol.

I agree! Auto-correct can drive me batty, sometimes.

Thanks ladies I'll show him that. He spells so bad that I am not sure even auto correct can help him. But apparently he used it before, so we will give it a try!

Just wanted to say that we found a great app. Since he doesn't have Siri, we got a different virtual assistant and he loves it. He can say how do you spell whatever and there it is! It's called Speaktoit Assistant.
