FabricMart has some pretty colors of 100% Nylon poplin fabric for $1.99. Is it suitable for shorts/skirts/etc?

I somehow suck at Googling stuff like this because it just searches for nylon or poplin and I never get anything meaningful back!

They say they think it would be good for "Dress, skirt, top, shirt, lining garments, home-decor". I'm not so sure about all of that at all, because I think since it's nylon is not going to breath and be pretty clammy and hot in summer, if anything at all sealed up to your body and really cold in winter maybe. Maybe also ravels pretty easy on a cut edge too? It might also make "rustling noise" when you move in it too? But, possibly a pair of loose jogging shorts, or a windbreaker jacket or something like that?

I didn't even NOTICE that the "suggestion" was there.

Hmmm. I don't completely agree but I do think I'd feel better if it were a blend instead of 100%. I added some to my cart. We'll see when it comes

I think it could be very variable. I would call and talk to chris. She always is able to give good descriptions. She will go get the fabric while you are on the phone and tell you about it. I have some Nylon twill trousers that are made for mountain climbing and they are the best pants. They wick, are cool and comfy etc. I would think if it is $2/yd it may be like cheap taffeta made out of Nylon, almost like rip-stop. Call, then let us know!

Chris said that it's more suitable for something like a rain jacket...which is frustrating because why list it suitable for other apparel?

Eh.

That pattern might work...what do you have to lose? I am a big fan of putting an unexpected fabric with an expected pattern. I say go for it!

Those are both cute patterns. I would think a more fitted shoulder with a fabric that could be stiff might be better. JMHO
