So I don't have to sew through the seams or on the appliques. Even though I used the light steam2 It's dense where it's appliques (the dark areas)There was a bigger size you could make but this is way too stiff for a quilt. You were also instructed to press seams open when wasn't too much of a problem except for the last seam you did it was quite thick when jointed certain seams.If I ever did this again I might sash the seams to prevent that. Also may try the fusible just around the edges so no so dense. Hopefully will get it done this weekend or close to it. I just have to sew down the border on the trees and it's done. Will work some on the wolf but I got 4 paks of marbled fat quarters of 5 each in various shades of one color. I guess the cutting of the applique took the longest. I need to start keeping a sewing diary if not for anything else how long things take. I only get to sew about an hour a day and then not everyday. I saw this pattern quite a while ago and loved it. Maybe as much as two years. And I thought gee that looks too much for me to make. That's why you should never say never. Went back and looked through here. I started on it about the 2nd week in Feb when I got the pattern.
