Could the posts in each thread be placed in (reverse) chronological order except for stickies, so the newest posts are always at the top? It just seems weird to have to scroll down through the topics to find them....

Or, am I missing a way to format it that way??

Liz

Every time I have to read a thread on another forum that is formatted in reverse order I have to grit my teeth - I want to read it from start to where we are, not read it backwards. SO, to have that functionality requires the option to change it to whatever way whoever wants. Not just backwards. Took me ages to get it to stop doing that on the Quiltingboard.

Oh - this thread does not belong in Announcements.....maybe that suggestion thread?

I agree Muffet, it drives me mad in other forums when they have them in the other order.

Aren't the newest posts already at the top?

Maybe I'm misunderstanding the question.

She means within the threads....some boards do that by default - newest on top - posts the is, within each thread. On the Quiltingboard you can elect whatever way you want to read them. So if you are on all the time you can see a new post right away, but when you go in only once a day or so, it is helpful to see a thread the way it unfolds. To me anyway, but an option for those who like it the other way would be nice.

Most times I like to start at the beginning. But when it is hundreds of pages I may jump forwards in spurts by page number or just go the the last page and read backwards by hitting the Previous Page Link.

Sorry, I did mean the topics in each category, not the individual posts. I'll post this where requests should go.
