They're so big and baggy. Nothing like my semi muslin. Suggestions?

**edited to repair the links and again to note: The area above the thigh is pinned and not sewn also, I didn't iron the darts at all after sewing them.

The links are going to the flickr sign in page rather than to your pics.
My first thought - Simplicity's amazing fit range have 1" seam allowances to allow for adjustment, have you allowed for this?

Oops! I'll fix the links.

I sewed 5/8" seams. DOH!

I'll get nicer pictures when someone is home to take them for me :)

The seams were the major problem! Oy vey!!!!

Now I see though, that 1" is a bit too far. The lines are veering sideways through the thigh area. I couldn't get a good pic of my rear, but there are some lines right across the but under the darts and just under the butt over the thighs.

Try a 3/4 seam allowance and see if that helps. Maybe try that on one side only to see if you are letting it out enough or too much.

I am getting ready to try this pattern myself, so thanks for your post. I will try seam allow at 1/2 and increase gently from there to get that "perfect fit".

Cheers,

Kimber

Also, maybe you just need to take in the inner leg or crotch area, the 1" seam allow and not the side.

The side was straight in the first set of pics and it appears that the bagginess you want to get rid of is in the back side.

Thanks! I was actually getting ready to re-approach these pants over the next week or two. I got pretty luck with New Look 6189 so my confidence is restored! LOL!

I'm certainly no pro when it comes to pants fitting, but the first thing I see is large thighs. This has been an issue with some of the ladies who work out and have built up a lot of muscle in their legs. There is an adjustment some have used, but I'm not sure just what it is. Hopefully, someone will jump in here and have the answer

Okay, here's my two cents.
The front: It looks like the knee on the pattern is higher than your actual knee. What makes me think this way is how much fabric is puddling on the floor. To figure out where your knee is on the pattern, fold the bottom leg of the pattern from the hemline up to the crotch area. Make a crease. Measure the amount from the hem to the crease. Then measure from your knee to your ankle. Subtract the two and you need to change this on your pattern.
The side: Your side seam appears to curve as it goes up your body. It looks to be migrating toward the back by about 2", which is the width of your pocket facing. Where do your arms hang? Do they follow the seamline at the waist, or near your hip? It looks to me like you need to add more to the backside or that your crotch length is off. Also, this same side view shows you have to make a horizontal dart in the back starting from just under your 'cheeks' and tapering to nothing when it gets to the outside seam. I can see the fullness that needs to be reduced in the side view, as well as the "smiles" caused by too much fabric in the back.
