Follow this link....

I just printed it and spent about 30 min. taping it together. Super simple as the registration marks line up perfectly. I did note that the 10cm square is only 9.4 cm though, so I will be making a size bigger at least. I'll have to check out the measurements and see.

I have made their Lily dress twice now and love the fit. It's just different enough to be noticed. Even my 8th grade students commented on it and they hardly ever notice your clothes!

I've downloaded it too and am looking forward to making it on the weekend.

BTW, when printing you need to have a good look to make sure there is no setting that fits the image to the page. This would be on the screen that pops up once you give the print command via the file menu. Print just the page with the test square and make sure it is right before printing the rest.

Thanks,
I will check that out next time I print a pattern. I'd love to see your shirt when it gets done.

Looks very Eileen Fisher doesn't it? There is something about the simplicity of this pattern that makes it look very chic and comfortable. Tessuti has the most wonderful looking fabrics....pricey..but I would love to try a selection someday. I have made their "favorite tee" ... maybe a year or 2 ago... and now the style is everywhere. Also, I would rather have a hard copy pattern rather than download.

Gosh, cute top but so similar in the hemline and side seam construction to Sewing Workshops Liberty top. The biggest difference I can see is the collar on the Tessuti has a collar and band,
the SW just a collar.SW Liberty

It also looks a bit like the Christine Jonson Swing shirt.

I made the Jac shirt this weekend in a silk dupioni and it turned out well. The pattern drafting is good and it goes together very nicely. The instructions have detailed photos and are excellent. I used them quite a bit for unfamiliar bits such as the angled hem vent. The method of attaching the collar to the body of the shirt requires quite a bit of skill, but it is a long time since I made a shirt with a collar stand. Maybe there is no easier method. I used Pam Earny's method of turning the collar points and they are perfect. Thanks Pam! I'll do a review as soon as I can, but might post a pic in the meantime.

As for the Liberty shirt, it would cost me a minimum of $35 and possibly $40 to get that pattern here in Australia. I am very grateful to have a local source. If SW ever offer their patterns to download they will be much more accessible to me. I do like them, but have never bought one because of the cost.

Still pricey, but Perpetual Patterns has some independent designers. You save a bit on the postage and they sometimes have sales.

I am making a muslin today in a nice cotton print, but I have some tobacco colored linen ready to go once I know the fit. It is going together very nicely and I love how they give such great directions. I do find my print out hard to read the pictures in so I run and look on the computer if I'm having difficulties. I will look for your review.

Here are the promised pics. I think the shirt plays nicely with my pencil skirt and harem pants. I'm tempted to make it a smidge longer though. It looks good as a jacket too, and the length is about right.

Proportion is critical, sometimes I need to see different length side by side to see which one looks right. Hurray for Photoshop, where I can do a mockup and don't actually need to make two garments!
