Lace- still a "thing?" is lace still trendy?

I'm currently watching a TV show and a young 20-ish protagonist had on the cutest white stretch lace top. The wardrobe on this show is excellent and quite fashion-forward.

Date: 3/21/13 3:56 AM It's also neat to use lace as the fabric overlay for piping (if the lace pattern is small enough). You can have a contrasting cord color peeking through as well.
