I have used Sulky KK 2000 temp adhesive spray for years for my embroidery. In the past, I have always waited for a good notions sale at JoAnn to help keep the price down -- the stuff is $15 a can normal price. However, JoAnn no longer carries the product. I have tried a couple of others, but the adhesive is very strong and I find it difficult to use a very light application of the other products I have tried.
Has anyone found a good discounted source for the KK 2000 spray?

They still have it on the JA website. To get it at a discount they would have to have a notions sale or use a coupon. Not sure if they ever have free shipping days, but cost wouldn't be bad if you ordered with some other items.
I am sorry to hear about this, because it is my favorite also and I am on my last container.
I had heard about another adhesive that was supposed to be THE best one, but I found the same as you that it was far too sticky for embroidery.
