Joann's is having a sale on SureLock thread by Coats for $1 a cone. I also had a 25% coupon for your entire purchase, so the cones came to 75 cents. I just bought an Enlighten and have been using Maxi-Lock for $1.79/spool from WAWAK and the results are great.

Can anyone tell me about this Coats SureLock and what your experience has been with it? They didn't have a huge range of colors, but I was able to get some good colors that I didn't have before.

Thanks!

Jim

I have a couple spools of this, in beige mostly, and find it better quality than the black Maxi-Lock.

My dealer told me not to use it. Use maxi-lock quality or better.

Try it. I have a couple of spools and it has been ok. I buy Maxi-lock from Hancocks when it is on sale and think that I prefer it.

I use anything and everything on my sergers and no problems. You just gotta try..... just clean out lint after every project or more often.

There was a bad batch of black Maxi-Lock several years ago. It was even discussed here at PR, so I knew it wasn't just my spool. I tossed it and got a newer spool and I have not had any more problems.
