Just a note to give an update on Violette since I bought her way back in I think it was Feb... I have been so busy sewing I can't remember!
I just love this machine! Thanks to everyone who answered my post and also those who messaged me privately with wonderful advice. I hope I can return the favour one day.
Since I bought her, I took the 3 free classes offered by my dealer. For 2 out of 3, I was the only one who showed up to class, so I received extra attention and she went over in detail all the feet I own as well as the 2 extra I "had" to buy.
I finished the quilt for my grandson that actually caused a malfunction in the QE4 which required it to be serviced (leading to the purchase of Violette). I was somewhat afraid to start sewing it again as it is made out of extra thick fleece and lined w/ poly batting. To my delight, Violette, had no problem picking up where the QE4 left off and didn't even break a needle. She finished the binding as well as reinforced all the seams.
What I noticed when doing this is that she feeds better than the QE4 did and is more reminiscent of my 7570 in that respect. Her dual feeds also holds the fabric better than the QE4 did. All in all an improved feeding system as I found out feeding all that fleece through w/out any problem and with even stitches. (same thread, same needle as I was using before, except I changed the needle during the process).
I have also pieced 3 quilt tops, worked on a couple of ongoing WIPS, and finished off several smaller projects to learn new techniques.
Next in line are the backs for the 3 quilt tops which are all going to be reversible quilts. I also want to do some applique to find out how she does with that.
Unfortunately, she doesn't come w/ more time to sew!
All in all, I am pleased with her so far even though I have only done piecing. She is definitely a workhorse. I am anxious to use some of the specialty stitches sooner.
Thanks again everyone for your input. I enjoy this board and reading what everyone is doing when I get a chance.
Happy Sewing! Such a fabulous hobby we all share!

It's great to hear how well you two are doing together! Thanks for the update, and would love photos of yours and Violette's work if/when you can!
Yes, extra time to sew should come standard with all sewing machines!
I heart Panzy, Pfaff Creative Performance, the sewing machine love of my life!
