I'm looking for a pattern for a fleece jacket. Jalie has two, and both have great reviews.

Does anyone have a suggestion of which one to get?

This is for a petite female, slighly overweight (just barely), sway back.

I have like 10 fleeces, and wear them pretty much every day, so I'd love to be able to make my own.

In my experience, invisible zippers are best installed with an invisible zipper foot after pressing the zipper. That said, when fabric has texture (like your gorgeous fabric), I've sometimes found it difficult to get the fabric to lay flat.

Because you have so much texture in the fabric, you may want to try one of the methods I outlined in my blog - all are hand-picked but then I like that look. Here is the link: http://fabricateandmira.wordpress.com/2010/10/06/hand-picked-zippers/

If you decide to do it by machine, I would definitely baste it.

Good luck,
Annette

This is probably not going to be a helpful response:

I have 2679, and like you said it's gotten good reviews.

I do really like it, yet I keep wanting to get 2795 ALSO, because it's slightly different in overall shape and it's got a hoodie option. If you like hoodies, I'd say try that one first since you could do with or without using 2795.

Hopefully someone else who actually has both patterns will chime in and give you a fit comparison.

I wear my Jalie 2679 just about every day in the winter. I love it! I've made one for my step daughter and she loves hers. I'm making a second one for myself right now. The 2795 is really cute too though but I haven't made that one.
