I'm not new, but I've never figured out a simple way to search for reviews of a specific pattern. It seems as though I have to go through general searches at least two times before I get to specify just which pattern I'm looking for. I must be missing something...?
Oh, I see, I need to go to Advanced Search. Never mind!

For some reason, I find searching for specific patterns (when I know the number) very odd. The only way it works is to type only the number.
For NL6110, for example, I would type "6110" (and nothing else) in the little box that's on almost every page. For Burda 7212, only type "7212" in the box. (No quotes)
Very rarely does more than one pattern company come up, and if it does, it much easier than trying to look through all the "tops" from a single company!

At the little search box, first click on Advanced Search, then that window opens a page with pattern companies, find the one you want, type in the number, and voila!
Sometimes the patterns are filed with the letter before it and some don't have it. Sometimes for the same pattern you have to try both. For example if looking for McCalls 5941, after selecting McCalls, it might be under 5941 or M5941 or both, depending on how it was listed when someone wrote the review.

I have way too many yards to count, and I will never use them up, but I will die trying!

I was having trouble with this too! Thanks for the question and the replies.

I prefer to use the quick search box on the upper left with only pattern number, like DonnaH. When you do that method and then click on a photo in the list of results, the photo pops up in a separate box. When you do an advanced search and click on the photo in the resulting list, your click takes you to the review.
I generally use the search function to decide whether I want to make a pattern and the first thing I want to do is look see how the pattern looks on everyone who has made it. So the popup photos are better. If I decide to make it I will click on the individual reviews for more information.
