Fabric Mart poly lycra ottoman knit sale

It isn't terribly pretty (I bought the tan) or stretchy but I think it will work for muslin.

What do you think? I haven't sewn any yet (it just arrived).

It should be good quality since it comes from Nike. If it came in black, I'd load up on it.

I used an ottoman from JA's clearance for a top muslin and found that because it had less stretch I had trouble getting a true feel of the fit. It definitely made the top feel tighter through the upper back and shoulders on me than an even just slightly stretchier knit. YMMV

One thing I found it was good for was a knit pant pattern like the Silhouette yoga pant. That's what I used the remainder for.

I used it this morning to sew up Silhouette's yoga pant (3400).

It's nicer than I expected. I cut the pants on the cross grain (the ribs go that way too). That way the ribs were vertical on the pant and the most stretch went around my body.

I'll report back after I see how the pants wash and wear a few times. Since this was just a muslin (and the pants were too small in the size I sewed) I didn't even wash the fabric yet. I'm short on time and normally don't work that way.
