LOL. Alex's speech always had the sense of either being very rehearsed or like she is speaking to a crowd of second graders. But then so many sewing hosts do that-- Eleanor Burns was one of the worst when it came to that. However, I don't hate her.

You nailed it. That's exactly how she sounds. I can't stand to watch her or listen to her. She's just way too dramatic for me.

April Fool!

I like Alex.

Can't stand:

Mary Fons (not to be confused with her mother, Marianne Fons).

Burns comes in second and then there was the one with the high pitched squeaky voice, Sharlene Jorgenson (I think she may have improved over the years).

Yes ...it is an April Fools joke... cute isn't it!???
Mary Fons drives me nuts..(.but quite honestly if I weren't me I'd drive me nuts)
I think Mary is WAY uncomfortable being on TV and so she bounces around and acts like a jumping bean...interrupts everyone and is FULL of herself...ugh

I recently met Alex Anderson at the Lancaster Quilt Show and had a lovely conversation with her and I found her very down to earth and easy to talk to. I find her very gushy on her show and I was pleasantly surprised and came away with a new understanding of her. I had a friend with me who had no idea of who Alex was and I asked her what she thought of her and she said she thought she seemed very real and down to earth. I think cameras do funny things to people and make them act differently than they normally would.

They all have valuable knowledge to share. Try demoing something in front if a camera yourself.
