Where are you finding good templates? I am mostly a make it up myself person. But reading the quilt along & watching some on TV I think I would like to use a couple of templates. Our JoAnn's has gone bonkers & no longer has their quilting area. So is there another place to get good sturdy ones that will last? I have seen a few in Hobby Lobby but they are on thin plastic & I am thinking a couple of oops with the rotary cutter & they will be gone.
Thanks so much.

templates

This seems to be an interesting site so far. Different shapes, sizes and designs of templates.

I really enjoy quilting. I love to play with fabrics, colors and pictures. I recently discovered how much fun applique can be. As I love making pictures, landscape quilting can be challenging, but seeing the picture come to life is so rewarding.

Do you have a Tap Plastics nearby? I was at one recently and they said they cut templates all the time and usually for less than $10.

I needed some templates for quilts I have planned- an 8 1/2" square, 5" square and a 5" tumbler. I work in a hardware store so I went in back and cut some out of plexiglass. Cost me $3 for those 3 templates.

I am in the process of making this cat quilt right now. Its going to be slow going because it will be a gift for DH and I am trying hard to work on it when he isn't around.
