how can I alter the bodice pattern that has a vertical curved seam and the point of the curve is too high for my bustline point?
Thanks,

Confused

you'd need to cut and spread the bodice above the bust line, until the bust point is in the correct position. Take care around the armscye - it will become deeper, so you'll need to adjust it afterwards

I am about to start a jacket with princess seams and expect the bust point will need to be lowered. I just googled our problem; this site provides the solution I expected to use.

And after you make the adjustment, sew it up in a cheap fabric to make sure you got the curve right!

I always have to do this myself, and as every pattern is shaped a little differently, it can take a bit of trial and error at times.

Hi Viriya!

Thank you for your suggestions! I did buy a cheap fabric to make this dress "shell pattern" that I'm working on. Great suggestions and thanks again!
