Kimbercrow (4/7/13 11:51 PM) I am 6" tall and recently decided it is time to make my own jeans rather than paying $200 for ones off the rack that don't fit.
Where do I lengthen boot cut pants - at the knee or the hem? I need to add about 3".

I'd split the extra length and do 1.5 inches above the knee and another 1.5 inches below the knee.

From a fellow 6' tall person -- I would measure your legs to find out! My height is almost entirely in my legs, but I have to lengthen above my knees (thighs) more so than below (calves). This is probably even more important in boot cut pants, because they usually have a fairly defined knee.
