I am wondering if there is anyone who lives in North Dakota who owns a Bailey sewing machine and would permit a visit to see how well it works. I live in south Manitoba and there are no dealers of this machine in the area who could demonstrate this machine.

You should post this in the Quilter's Corner or in Sewing machines. More people would see it, and this is the forum for the site to make announcements.

Hello I live in Ontario and have a Bailey and love it
There are two Bailey goups that you can join online and in their postings they have listings of who have Baileys so that you can try and see.
The groups are the
Baileyquiltingmachines- you will need to have a yahoo account to sign up I think and
I also remember seeing a lady on line with the Bailey group that is from Winnipeg I think her name was anita. But you can post a question and ask if anyone has one near you.
I ordered my Bailey while in the USA and brought it home, I snowbird in FL so had it shipped there for me. I purchased the classroom model for a few hundred dollars less. If you are looking fore a basic machine that has a 17" harp ( Bailey 17) it is easily worked , They had improved it over the older models, I have a up/down needle button and a speed control that I only have set 1/2 speed and it is plenty fast for me. It is compatible with the PC quilter and has a stitch regulator for an added price.
You are most welcome to email me at firstname.lastname@example.org and I will gladly answer any questiuons.
