I have cut 3, now 4 muslin blocks from my basic t-shirt patterns. Now, I'm having problems fitting the top above the bust. I allowed for the larger bust, but get a gap above. I have tried to move the block over the fold of the fabric when cutting out, so, I still get a bulky bit sticking out! The back came out too large, so, I did put too small darts in the back neck. And yes, I did do the first row of stitching before sewing. (forgot the name!).Stay Stitching! In the meantime I did make 4 tops, although they do look large, and 3 skirts, with plans to make many more. I did go to my T-Shirt class to read and reread instructions, but, they are not there! Then I tried the full bust class, again gone! Help! I did save them then deleted because I figured they were their permantely!

You might post in the computers section to ask help re getting to online class archives, hopefully Deepika or another PR official person can help you.

Re the fitting, it sounds like everything above the bust is too big, on both the front and back. You can either do a narrow shoulder alteration on what you have now, or start with a smaller size and do a bigger bust alteration than you did originally.

It sounds like you need bust darts which is why you are too big in the shoulders but your armholes are gaping.
If you have a large bust it almost impossible to fit the bust without them.
Shams from Communing with fabric
has an alternate method which works well for her. She has written several really good posts on fitting knits to a large bust.
