I think I've found the perfect fabric for my Valkyrie skirt! I've been seeing some beautiful iridescent crinkle taffeta that would be lovely--confirmed when I found this skirt on etsy. The trouble? Evidently this fabric's only application is as rental wedding tablecloths. I could rent just about any size or color under the sun, but can I find the same selection in yardage? Much, much tougher.

Ideally, I would *love* to find this very fabric, which the rental company calls "pewter," and which seems to be a grey/copper iridescent:


Does anyone know where a retailer of such a fabric might be lurking? I've already scoured etsy, ebay, Amazon, and Google, but no luck so far.

Something like this? Don't know if they're wholesale-only.

Or try googling "iridescent taffeta" some of these look promising here and here. The dark color iridescents to me look a lot like the pictures from the Met.

Oooh, hello older thread! :)

I actually ended up finding curtain panels in the perfect color at Hobby Lobby, and I wasn't even looking anymore.

Our JA and Hancock did have a very small amount of yardage, but it was all in jewel colors or had strange embellishments. I found the perfect shade of pewter... except for the lime green polka dots embroidered on it! LOL
