Everything was going just peachy. All I wanted to do was a simple rolled hem on a simple little top for my GD. I was within two inches of being done when it all went wrong. It was so pretty and then it was sooooo ugly, with loops all over and birds nests and general havoc.
I'll spare you the details, but it's the old gunked up Brother 920 that I thought was doing so well. I've put everything away, and tomorrow I'll clean and totally re-thread and put on my smiley face and try again
Now I'm better.

You could try smashing it . It always makes me feel better if I can smash the heck out of something.

Glad you got it all out of your system (except for the smashing part) and the birdies have themselves a nice nest.
Tomorrow will be a better day! Yay for tomorrow!

I have a friend who, when she gets mad, wraps a coffee mug in a dish towel and breaks it. The reason for the towel is so that the pieces don't fly around.

I hate it when that happens. Usually it happens wheh the thread gets caught on something between coming off the spool and before it goes thru the tension disks.

What a GREAT use for all these excess coffee mugs around the house! Thank you!

I totally agree with Rosews... wine and chocolate. If your tastes lean to the savory, buttery garlic bread. And wine. And chocolate.

Thanks for all the suggestions. Last night I had ice cream mixed with chocolate milk powder and topped by a package of mini M&Ms (pretty much all the chocolate we had in the house!) Today will be a better day
