I saw fusible thread used in the bobbin on an episode of Fon's & Porter this past weekend. Interesting. I wonder if the vintage machines can use it? What about the newer Kenmore's ?
Drop in bobbins as well as vertical or no ?

I've used it in my Singer Touch and Sew it's been around for quite a while now.

using it in the bobbin is easier. I used it with my Janome AQS2009 without problems. There are some youtube tutorials on "Carlottes Fusible Web" to help you figure things out. Gutterman fusible doesn't do what the Superior Threads one does, in that after you iron you can't just pull off the monofilament thread.

The fusible thread I bought was very thick and wouldn't fuse. I had to use a hand sewing needle, and wanted to use it for sewing on quilt binding. Darn thing wouldn't melt!
