I've tried a couple of ponte knits from online sources and JoAnn's (should not have bothered) but I can't find any with the substance and quality of Not Your Daughter's Jeans. They use a rayon, nylon, spandex blend and I'd love to know if anyone has found a source for a comparable knit.

Not all FM pontes are the same. Some are much better than others. I think the ones wight the rayon blend are nicer....just my 2 cents.

I get all my ponte from EOS...really nice quality. I love her wool blends also.
Hope you can find something you like.

I read that the addition of rayon makes a huge difference. I got to pet several bolts at Hancocks. The one with rayon was so much nicer.

Thank you all for your suggestions. I have two pieces from EOS and they are lovely but not the same as NYDJ. I'll look at your other suggestions.

My black ponte from emmaonesock arrived today and it's wonderful. I want to make jeans out of it and it's the perfect weight and body for it. I haven't seen the NYDJ's version but my dd has a pair by Seven and it's a comparable fabric.

NYDJ is a brand - Not Your Daughter's Jeans - of jeans, marketed to older women, and generally at a much higher price point. Not to be found in my area, so I've only read about them, not tried any on.
