You mean something like These?

I think Burda and McCall both have newish patterns of this type. There moght be some older Kwik Sews, too.

yes!! those would be perfect!! I cant seem to find a pattern though

I was thinking of playing with McCalls 4261 and seeing how it would turn out

McCall 6748 looks just about perfect to me.

Then there is burda 7091.

I make a lot of harem pants for dance which are esentially palazzo pants with elastic in the ankles. Here are instructions from Dina Lydia the Costume Goddess (and she really is). Just adjust to fit at the waist and leave out the ankle gathering.

I absolutely LOVE you all!!! and since McCalls is on sale at JAs this weekend, Im going to grab several in each size for others in my group... beats paying $40 for the pants

Be very careful as I have had dancers get tangled in the hem of this type of pant...Just a heads-up.
