My first ever post on this forum!
I have cut out v1314 in quite a lightweight slightly sheer knit. It will definitely need lining, but what kind of fabric should I use for the lining?
Many thanks for your help

emmaonesock and others sell knit linings. If you have enough of a sheer or light weight lining you can line in with the fabric itself for the body of the dress and leave the sleeves unlined.

Could you use the same fabric and underline the body only?

I have made the same dress several times and have used a knit lining called power mesh which i believe I purchased from Emma One Sock. Power Mesh is a super lightweight knit lining that provides a skim factor and slipperiness over tights/nylons. But if you can't get it, I am with the other posters and suggest that you line with your dress fabric if it is a really thin stretchy knit or if it is thicker, go without lining which several sewers who have made this dress have also done.

I have used the knit lining from EOS in nude. I put it in the little black cotton lace top I reviewed here on PR. I really like it and would recommend it. It does curl at the edges when you are working with it but it's not so bad. It's called venezia 4-way jersey lining.
